Simone Weil

We must try to love without imagining
-- to love the appearance in its nakedness without interpretation.
What we love then is truly God.

--Simone Weil

  1. "to love without imagining" is hard ... as if we stand before a window and try to see outside, it is hard to see the world, without covering it in our own reflections ... perhaps helping us to move out of the way is the real work that art does ...

the photo could never find a better home than this :-)))

  2. i love this here))) it becomes something else. how is that? somehow simone weil's words and james' photograph reflect some of your light. there is something important in this to discover.
